Movie-wise this has got to be the best summer so far for comic book movies. Three new movies that came this very month have forced me to change my very recent list of top 10 live-action comic book movies. And here... we... go.

10. Blade
9. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
8. Hellboy 2: The Golden Army
Because its so damn funny and so cool-looking. The story may be simple but I loved the characters and Guillermo Del Toro's film making style. Ever since "Pan's Labyrinth" he has really stepped up his game.
7. Daredevil: The Director's Cut
6. The Incredible Hulk
Ang Lee's "Hulk" was straight up garbage. Everything that was wrong in that movie was completely improved in this one. I'm so glad this wasn't a sequel to that one neither. Every one in that movie was perfect, except for maybe Liv Tyler, but I'm not really a fan of hers. Edward Norton was a perfect Bruce Banner. The animation was great. I didn't think I would enjoy 2 fake cg animated beasts battling it out but I really did. It was awesome. Now let's hope The new Punisher movie out does that other semi-disappointing one with Thomas Jane, like this movie did.

1. The Dark Knight
I know this may sound a little cliche, but fuck it... move over Jack Nicholson, there's a new joker in town. Heath Ledger's performance as the Joker surpassed all of my expectations in the latest Batman movie directed by Christopher Nolan. I loved every minute of this movie. Although, it was 2 1/2 hours long I never once got bored or tired. It kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. It felt a lot more like a crime epic than it did a typical superhero movie which I thought was great. It made the idea of a man flying around in a black cape and a bat mask seem more realistic. All the twists, turns, and tension this movie puts you through is phenomenal, and although, rated PG-13, parents should be strongly cautioned before taking their children to see this. It dealt with a lot of adult themes that some children may not enjoy or understand. And I said this before, I loved Tim Burton's interpretation of Batman in 1989, and I did love Jack Nicholson as the Joker, but this movie is with out a doubt better than that one in my opinion, and Heath Ledger is a way better Joker. It's just too bad Heath Ledger had to die before people could really see how great of an actor he could be. I don't know how Christopher Nolan is going to top himself if they ever make another Batman movie. Go see it. It's the greatest.
